There is a Stargate SG-1 convention in which one of the lead actors, Richard Dean Anderson, who plays Jack O'Neill in Stargate attends. Several people are wearing SGC uniforms, alien masks and someone even has Apophis's symbol on his forehead. There are also people with SG-1 on their shirts and someone has the Earth point of origin symbol on his shirt.
Homer thinks he's a god and tries to persuade others that he is. This was a central plot device in earlier episodes of Stargate with the Gou'ald forcing people to believe that they were gods. Homer was a "good god" though, similar to the Asgard in Stargate, rather than the Gou'ald.
