Two Guys from Kabul is an Afghan restaurant in Springfield.

Description

As the name implies, the restaurant is owned and operated by two men from Afghanistan. It offers dine-in, take-out and delivery service. Laura Powers seemed to be a regular customer, as she was very familiar with the items on the menu. However, the restaurant seems to do very little business, which seems to be a source of stress for the two owners. They don't appear to be on friendly terms, with one of them saying, "Sometimes I think you want to fail!" and the other saying, "Shut up, just shut up." [1] In spite of its issues, Two Guys from Kabul is Laura Powers' favorite restaurant.[2]

History

When Laura Powers was babysitting Bart, Lisa and Maggie, for dinner she called Two Guys from Kabul. Just before she called, the restaurant was totally empty and the two owners were sitting around with nothing to do. They started arguing, and then Laura called. When the phone rang, the men started fighting with each other over who would get to answer it.

Laura had the order delivered to the Simpson home and thus introduced the Simpson children to Afghan food and showed them the proper way to eat it.[1]

In his profile of Laura Powers, Bart cites Two Guys from Kabul as being her favorite restaurant.[2]
