The Little Rascals was an American comedy film series, most popular in the 1920s and 1930s. It was originally named "Our Gang", but when aired in repeats on television it was retitled under its current name.

"Radioactive Man"

Moe tells the others he used to be an actor in The Little Rascals. He played the part of "Smelly", a tough kid who as a running gag had to look through an exhaust pipe and get a face full of car soot. This was indeed a typical gag that often occurred in the show. Moe then remembered how he was fired from the show when he was about to look in an exhaust pipe and Alfalfa cut Smelly off, looked in the pipe instead, and got a faceful of soot. Moe, enraged, attacked the Alfalfa actor for stealing his bit, thereby accidentally murdering him. This is a reference to Carl Switzer, the actor who played Alfalfa in The Little Rascals. He was indeed murdered, but it happened when he was an adult, not when he was a child star on the show.
