He played the part of "[[Smelly]]", a tough kid who as a running gag had to look through an exhaust pipe and get a face full of car soot. This was indeed a typical gag that often occurred in the show. Moe then remembered how he was fired from the show when he was about to look in an exhaust pipe and [[Alfalfa]] cut Smelly off, looked in the pipe instead, and got a faceful of soot. Moe, enraged, attacked the Alfalfa actor for stealing his bit, thereby accidentally murdering him. This is a reference to {{w|Carl Switzer}}, the actor who played Alfalfa in ''The Little Rascals''. He was indeed murdered, but it happened when he was an adult, not when he was a child star on the show.}}
