Nauru, or the Republic of Nauru, is an island country and microstate in the South Pacific Ocean.
History[edit]
When the Simpson family made comic strips set in different countries, one of the countries they visited was Nauru. They used vehicles made from wood and ate coconuts. Lisa then interrupted the comic strip to tell them that they didn't know anything about Nauru and that all the comic strips were cobbled together from a bunch of stereotypes about these places. Bart asked what else Nauru had to offer other than beautiful white-sand beaches and coconuts, and Lisa pointed out that the country had plenty of phosphate mines. Lisa then decided to join in, and they all declared that Nauru ruled.
