"I Love Lisa"

Seymour Skinner has a Vietnam War flashback to 1969, when he sailed a river in Da Nang and one of his friends, Johnny, received a Valentine's card his girlfriend send him. Distracted by this mail he didn't notice a sniper and was shot dead. This is very similar to a scene in Apocalypse Now when a soldier on a river boat receives an audio recording from his mother by mail. As he listens to it he is ambushed by a sniper and murdered.
