The Springfield sign is a big sign in letters that is on a hill overlooking the town of Springfield. The sign was built by nuns and has the biggest "Ring" in Springfield. On the sign are words that rearranged, can either say that Lisa is the jewel, or that Maggie is the jewel.[1]

The sign was damaged during Trappuccino after the Cargill dome crushed half of the sign. Bart and Homer survived their act of destroying the dome by riding up the letter "P" on the sign.[2]
