Bart's Detention is a The Simpsons Comic Strips story that was first published in 1999.

Synopsis

Bart has detention once again, to Principal Skinner's annoyance.

Plot

School ends for the day, and everyone goes home except Bart, who Mrs. Krabappel reminds he has detention with Principal Skinner in his office. Skinner reminds Bart that this is the fifth time this week that he's had to stay after school for detention. He tells Bart that it seems all their efforts to rehabilitate him have been in vain, and it's extremely frustrating for him to spend his afternoons with a student who taxes his patience and shows him no respect. He goes on to tell Bart that he's not sleeping well, his ulcer is flaring up again, and his hair has been coming out in clumps, and he blames it all on Bart. Bart responds by saying that it seems like Skinner is the one being punished, not him.
