The Perm Bank is a salon in the Springfield Mall where Marge gets her hair cut.
History
Marge was at the salon getting a haircut from Armando when Homer came into the salon, quietly took Armando's place, and began cutting her hair himself, attempting to become a better husband. However, he did a terrible job on Marge's hair. Marge wasn't aware of what was going on until she saw the amount of hair falling to the floor. Thinking that Armando was still cutting her hair, she commented that Armando was taking a lot off. When she looked into the mirror and saw that Homer had taken Armando's place and saw what Homer had done, she first screamed in dismay, then began lecturing Homer.[1]
When Marge was at the Le Pamperie Hair Salon and the hairdresser hesitated to cut her hair, she asked if she should instead go to the Perm Bank.[2]
Behind the Laughter
The salon's name is a pun on "sperm bank".
