"Shadow of the Colossal Donut" is the eighth level of The Simpsons Game.

Description
After the level "Enter the Cheatrix" is finished, three more levels open up in Springfield. These can be taken in any order, but this is the next level following the story.
Synopsis
Plot
Kang and Kodos shoot a laser at the Lard Lad statue, bringing it to life and causing chaos in Springfield. Kent Brockman reports live from a helicopter as Homer and Bart try to stop Lard Lad. Lard Lad uses his laser to make billboards of Mini-Krusty and food come to life. Homer and Bart must disable Lard Lad by opening three hatches on his butt, back, and head to shut down his wiring. Once they disable the last hatch in his head, Lard Lad falls, defeated. Homer then embarrassingly pounds on the statue's crotch, while Kang blames Kodos for messing up, making Kodos cry.
Gameplay
Xbox 360/PS3 and Wii/PS2/PSP Version
This level focuses on opening three hatches on Lard Lad to disable his wiring and defeat him. Each hatch gets harder to reach, requiring precise jumps from tall structures. Aside from Lard Lad's lasers, stomps, and roars, you'll also deal with mini Krustys from billboards, who are more of a nuisance, and small aliens who will only appear in certain locations. The Krustys and Aliens go down easily with simple attacks
Use Bart's slingshot or Homer's Power Burp to shoot the first hatch, which is low enough to access quickly. Once open, jump on and pull the wiring. Wait for Lard Lad to move near the construction site or rooftops. When he's close, use Bart's slingshot (or Homer's Power Burp, but it's a lot more precise to hit the hatch) on the panel, then hop on to pull the wiring. Use the high platform in the construction site or a tall building to reach the final hatch on his head.
DS Version
The battle with Lard Lad is more of a chase. Use the helium tanks to inflate into Helium Homer and float over obstacles, moving forward as much as possible. Stay ahead by alternating between Helium Homer and Homer Ball to keep distance from Lard Lad. When you spot the Krusty Burger, stay on the ground to grab some burgers, then use Homer Ball to dash up the ramp and jump into the power lines ahead. This will take down Lard Lad for good.

- Open Lard Lad's first hatch and disable his wiring.
- Open Lard Lad's second hatch and disable his wiring.
- Open Lard Lad's third hatch and disable his wiring.
Collectibles
Xbox 360/PS3 and Wii/PS2/PSP Version
There are nine Duff Caps, ten (eight on Wii/PS2/PSP version) Krusty Koupons, and one cliché in the level:
Duff Caps
- Turn left from the start to find a collectible above the Krustylu Studios sign.
- Near the starting crane, use a helium tank to float to the crane-held pipe and grab the bottlecap.
- Run up the crane arm closest to the start to find another bottlecap.
- In the alley behind the Lard Lad Donuts building, look up a ledge in a side alley for a bottlecap.
- Use the dumpster behind the Lard Lad Donuts building to reach a bottlecap on the roof.
- Climb the crane at the construction site using a blue car as a ramp to reach the second level and a helium tank. Float up to the platform above for a bottlecap.
- Across from The Frying Dutchman, get onto the roof of the blue building to find a collectible.
- Near the Krusty Burger, check the pier section next to the Grease Recycling Plant for a bottlecap, easiest accessed from the roof.
- At The Frying Dutchman, float to the large pink fish sign using a helium tank below it for the collectible.
Finding all nine rewards the Deep Fried Duff Trophy.
Krusty Koupons
- Jump into the top of three stacked gray pipes to find the Koupon.
- Use Homerball to crush the hydrant by the prison, then glide up with Bartman to get inside. The Koupon is on the left side of the prison. (Xbox 360/PS3 version only)
- Behind the Lard Lad Donuts building, climb the chipped wall to reach the Koupon.
- Across from Colossal Donut, jump onto a blue dumpster to access the second level of the construction site; the Koupon is by the crane.
- Near the Ritz-Carlton Hotel for Transients, climb from a vent to the roof and down to the marquee sign to get the Koupon.
- Across from The Frying Dutchman, head into the alley by the blue building to find the Koupon on a broken awning. (Xbox 360/PS3 version only)
- By the factory with the chemical tanks near the pier, grapple up to the building ledge to reach the Koupon.
- On the roof of Bart's old factory at the pier, climb up from a dumpster to find the Koupon.
- Reach the roof of the Grease Recycling Plant at the pier by jumping from an adjacent building.
- Look on a section of the pier near the Grease Recycling Plant for this Koupon.
Finding all ten rewards the Krusty Meal Trophy.
