Plot

The Information Rage

Due to an idea from Lisa, the town decides to provide LED light bulbs to everyone. However, people start arguing over the political implications, and their rage causes cracks to rip open in the ocean floor. From these cracks, two kaiju creatures, Red Monster and Blue Monster, emerge, each representing opposing viewpoints, just like the townspeople. The monsters begin destroying buildings in town. As they start fighting each other, Professor Frink presents a solution: he has built a robot to combat the monsters.

Only two siblings working in perfect harmony can operate it, so Bart and Lisa are chosen. Initially, it is difficult, as they argue inside the robot. Lisa is surprised there are only two monsters, considering how mad the world has become. Soon, more monsters appear, including the Four Chan Saurus, Facebookzilla, Mecha-Reddit, and Ro-gan. After seeing the monsters make Homer roll away inside a donut, seemingly enjoying it, Bart and Lisa finally work together and defeat the original two monsters, causing the others to flee. They then tell the people of Springfield that they must calm down and abandon social media to prevent the monsters from reemerging. However, soon after, humanity is destroyed, leaving only Bart and Lisa on the carcass of the robot, contemplating how easily society fell due to the internet.

The Fall of the House of Monty

At the Burns & Co. Excellent Corn Syrup factory, the shift has ended, but construction on Mr. Burns' mansion is just beginning. The project has been ongoing for a long time—Lenny's father and grandfather both died while working on it. It’s Thanksgiving night, and Mr. Burns promises a dinner if they can win a wishbone pull. Willie wins, but Burns throws the dinner down a hole. His ex-wife, Agnes, warns him that breaking his Thanksgiving promise has cursed him to be tormented by everyone he has wronged until his death.

An accident occurs at the factory when Homer tries to fill a cup with corn syrup, falls into a container, and pulls a chain that releases the stored syrup, washing away all the workers. Their ghosts begin appearing at Burns’s mansion, jumpscaring him, pushing him over the balcony toward Agnes’s body, blocking his exits, and finally surrounding him. He tries offering them food, but they tell him they can only be satisfied with his soul. Desperate to escape, Burns throws himself into a fire, burning both himself and the entire mansion.

Smithers and Sideshow Mel visit the remains, wondering why Burns would do such a thing the day after Thanksgiving. They decide to call it "Black Friday," a day to remember never to mistreat workers again, no matter how good the deal.

Denim

Homer and Barney are shopping for jeans at The Generous Cut to impress a waitress at Irv's Non-Canonical Diner, Marge. Homer, however, knows that no matter what pants he wears, he won’t have any luck with her. Suddenly, an electric anomaly occurs, and a zipper rips open a rift in the fabric of the universe, from which a pair of jeans, Denim, emerges. The jeans head to the dressing rooms, and Homer discovers they fit him perfectly. He tries them on and heads to the diner.

Though Homer still feels insecure, his pants start giving him advice. When Snake enters and attempts to rob the diner, Denim takes control, moving Homer on their own to save Marge from Snake. However, the police arrive, and Homer and Denim escape. Denim convinces Homer to become its host, explaining that toxic rain on its home planet made them old, and now, in the human world, they need a host to survive. With Denim's guidance, Homer impresses Marge, and they enjoy a night at a hotel, though they don’t go further because Denim refuses to let go of him. When Homer tries to explain things to Marge, Denim forces him to leave for Moe's.

To get rid of Denim, Homer makes it drunk. Marge seizes the opportunity to remove and wash them, but this proves to be a mistake, as Denim becomes furious and tries to kill her. After using a lemon slice to blind Denim, Homer stabs it—injuring his own leg in the process. Now detached from him, Denim goes from host to host until it reaches Marge, taking her to the roof of a tall building. Homer chooses Denim over Marge, but Denim leaves her alive, knowing its species needs as many hosts as possible. A massive rift opens up in space, and more Denims rain down onto the planet.
