Patty and Selma showed slides to their family from their trip to Mexico.[2] Another time during Grandma Bouvier's birthday party Patty and Selma show a slideshow of the childhood family vacation walking the steps of Teotihuacán's Pyramid of the Sun.[3]

Krusty the Clown considered Tijuana to be the happiest place on Earth. When the kids of Springfield had a terrible time at Kamp Krusty, Krusty took them to Tijuana to make it up to them.[4]
