"Lisa the Tree Hugger" is the fourth level of The Simpsons Game.

Description[edit]

This is the first level to feature Lisa as a playable character, as well as all of her powers.

Synopsis[edit]

"Lisa enlists Bart's help to take down a tree-cutting factory."

Bart and Lisa are outside Mr. Burns' "Auntie Nature" lumber company. After Bart shows Lisa his powers, she discovers her own and decides to stop Mr. Burns from cutting down trees. While Burns and Smithers discuss their logging plans in the office, Bart and Lisa knock out the workers to enter the plant. Inside, Lisa uses her "Hand of Buddha" to move large objects and disable machinery on a conveyor belt. They navigate past spinning saw blades, with Bart using his slingshot to stop them. Meanwhile, Carl and Lenny, birdwatching in a tree, fall onto a conveyor belt when it's cut down and get trapped in debris. Lisa saves them, but they don't remember Bart and Lisa's names. Bart then shoots a target that causes the factory to explode, leaving the loggers unemployed. A sad Mr. Burns tells Smithers to have some goons rough up Al Gore.

Gameplay[edit]

Once the level begins, beat up the lumberjacks to get the door to open. Inside the next area, there is a Clobber Girl powerup. Beat up the lumberjacks and destroy the toilet they spawn out of. Then go to the Buddha statue and use Lisa's Hand of Buddha powers to move the bits of tree to make platforms up to the wall. Jump up and pull the lever, which opens the doors. In the next area, take out the lumberjacks and the toilet spawning them and use Lisa's Buddha powers to remove the stop on the smoke. Have Bartman use the smoke to glide up and knock a spring down for Lisa to jump up with. Carry along the conveyor belts and stand on the pressure pads to destroy the spinning crushers. Continue on until you get to the spinning blades. Have Bart jump past them to get to a platform. Bart must then use his slingshot to hit a target, breaking the spinning blades. Continue on, avoiding the spinning blades, until you get to a lever. Pull the lever and jump down. Defeat the lumberjacks in this area then use Hand of Buddha to grab a piece of conveyor belt over the other side of the toxic goo. Drop the conveyor belt on top of the goo to make a bridge across.

Continue on, defeating all the lumberjacks as you go. Eventually, the player will get to a dead end and two barrels of toxic waste. Use Hand of Buddha to drop the toxic waste onto the conveyor belt to break it. Then use the spring to jump over the logs and carry on to the next area. Use Bartman to zipline across the river and take out the lumberjacks on the other side. Then use the lever to open the floodgates and get platforms moving over the river. Get Lisa across the river then use the Hand of Buddha to rearrange the pipes to get a way up for Bartman. At this point, a one minute timer will start to save Lenny and Carl. Climb up as Bartman and pull a lever to make a way up for Lisa. Get Lisa to the Buddha Statue and use the Hand of Buddha to remove the tree from Lenny and Carl, saving them. Continue on to the factory itself and have Bart shoot a target within the spinning blades with his slingshot, which destroys the factory.

DS Version[edit]

Activate the Hand of Buddha (press X) and use the stylus to drag the stump on the left to the bare spot near the gate. Jump over the gate to enter the logging area. Ahead, use another Hand of Buddha to stack trees into steps leading to a lever. Pull it to switch to Bart. As Bart, fight off snakes and loggers, jump over the gate, defeat the logger, and pull the lever to open the gate. Switch back to Lisa, use the next Hand of Buddha to stack logs as steps toward the crane on the right, and place a large tree under the crane and a small one to the left. Use them to climb to the crane and the conveyor belt.

In the first forest area, hop along conveyor belts to the one nearest the branch platform. Jump up and go left, using saw trampolines and platforms to reach the yellow plunger. Activate it using the nearby Hand of Buddha. Continue on the moving platform to the top-right, fight loggers, and find a lever to switch characters. Zipline across to the large machine, navigate the conveyor belts, and climb the ladder. Take out the loggers and pull the lever to deactivate chainsaw platforms for Lisa. Move past the machine to the Hand of Buddha at the end, hit the plunger, and ride the moving machine to proceed. In the second forest area, hop across platforms to the top, then head right to cross the gate. Defeat the logger and navigate the conveyor platforms. When fire barriers disappear, cross quickly. Use the Hand of Buddha to move the tall stump to the far left, past the conveyors. Jump onto the crane and onto the stump. Cross the platforms, defeat loggers, and use the Hand of Buddha to remove the pin from the log holder. This sends logs rolling into the sign on the right.

In the Logger section, hop across logs, barrels, and turtles. Be mindful of scarce turtles and avoid getting stuck on moving objects near the river's end. Repeat as Bart, but note that the platforms move faster this time. At the Logging Factory, speed is key here. Hit the first target to clear saws from the path and save Lenny and Carl. Rush under the wall and climb conveyor platforms to hit the second target. Continue to deactivate saws, hitting targets three through five as you progress. Pull the lever to switch to Lisa. Use the Hand of Buddha to pull pins from the furnace doors, damaging the factory and shutting it down.

1. In the first area, use Lisa's Buddha powers to lift the rock off the tractor. Have Bart jump onto the tractor then the tree.
2. After breaking the saw blade, jump on top of it.
3. Use Lisa's Buddha powers to move a saw blade into an empty slot in a tree. Have Bart platform on the saw blades.
4. After making a bridge across the toxic waste, it's on a ledge on the left.
5. Jump over the wood on the river and get to the center island.
6. Adjust the pipes using Lisa's Buddha powers then have Bartman glide up.

Finding all six rewards the Krusty Toothpick Poster Trophy.

The Tree Hugger Stacy Trophy

1. Move the tree piece next to the Clobber Girl powerup to reveal the Seal.
2. After getting past the spinning crushers on the conveyor belt, jump to the ground on the left side.
3. After breaking the spinning blades, jump to the ground on the left side.
4. After making a bridge across the toxic waste, jump on the spring on the left.
5. At the river, get to the far right side and navigate across the platforms.

Finding all five rewards the Tree Hugger Stacy Trophy.
