Springfield Emporia Shopping Mall was the local mall of Springfield.
Description[edit]
One morning the Simpson family gets a visit from Usurpco Commercial Development Corporation, who wants to buy the house to make the new Springfield Emporia Shopping Mall. Homer looks out and sees that all the houses in the neighborhood have been demolished and he has no neighbors anymore, but Homer tells them that they will not move.
They tell Homer that they can still build the shopping center, but the supervisor of the building reminds then that if the mall is not up in time for Christmas shopping, the anchor stores will take back their contracts and they already blew their financial and the guy that won't sell his house could take them to court for months. They get an idea: they build the mall around the house. A few days later, it turns out that the mall was built around their house in just one day.
