Upcoming plots

  • The first several episodes are detours through sci-fi and horror.[48]
  • One of the first episodes will be a sequel of sorts to "22 Short Films About Springfield" - with a twist.[49][48]
  • In one episode, Marge's self-image in the town that everyone thinks she's a good person is at stake when Homer and Marge have to respond to a kidnapping and extortion situation. The kidnappers have not yet been decided on, but they're thinking of Jimbo and Shauna.[50]
  • One episode in the first half of the season will be dedicated to Ned Flanders reflecting on the deaths of Maude Flanders and Edna Krabappel, because it's "never too late to emotionally address a past trauma".[48]
  • One episode will reference the court room scene from the film Anatomy of a Fall.[51]
  • There are not plans of another cannon halloween episodes for now.[52]
  • One of the specials is based on female driven SNL-like sketches. In a scene, Homer's reluctance to purchase feminine hygiene products for Marge, so the store employees sing a big number to shame him.[53][54]
  • Patty and Selma will play a major role in an episode that'll be on either late 2024 or early 2025.[55]
  • One idea Al Jean has is Willie posing on OnlyFans.[26]
