In this "Treehouse of Horror" Halloween episode...Homer and his teenaged friends are pursued by a killer clown in a spoof of Stephen King's novel It. When an evil, shape shifting, unfunny clown starts eating the children of Kingfield, Young Homer and his friends must band together to destroy it, or die trying.[8][9]

The episode will be a full length Treehouse of Horror-style parody of the movie It, starring Krusty the Clown as Krusto the Clown, a parody of Pennywise, which has become a popular tatoo image.[10][11]

Treehouse of Horror XXXIII poster.png 734 - 6 "Treehouse of Horror XXXIII"[2] October 30, 2022[12] Rob Oliver[13] Carolyn Omine, Ryan Koh and Matt Selman[14] UABF18[15][16]

Death Thome: It's a parody of Death Note.[18][19][20]

Simpsonsworld: In a parody of Westworld, it goes deep into classic Simpsons references. They're going to break one of the Matt Groening's rules they've never broken before: "the Simpsons must never know they're characters in a television show".[21][22][23]

The Pookadook: It's a parody of the 2014 film The Babadook.[22][24]

Guest starring: John Roberts as Linda Belcher.[17]
