- The title is a play on the phrase "Revenge is a dish best served cold", which was popularized by many Italian gangster films, including The Godfather.

Goofs[edit]
- When the policemen burst into Homer and Marge's bedroom, Homer gasps, but there is no sound.
- Milhouse's revenge list misspells Kearney as "Kearny" and Lewis as "Louis".
- The "Star Wars deaths list" incorrectly lists Darth Maul, who merely has his legs cut off and Sy Snootles, who only appears in the musical segment and does not actually die.
- In addition, Snootles is misspelt "Snoodles".
