Springfield Bird Sanctuary is a bird sanctuary in Springfield.

History

Springfield Elementary School raised a lot of money for the Springfield Bird Sanctuary, which got the Sanctuary to name a bird, The Flaming Blue Wiener, after Principal Skinner. Lisa also volunteered at the Sanctuary and looked after an injured owl, Mr. Hoots, there. When Lisa went to eat the lunch Bart made for her, she found that the lunchbox was rigged with an airhorn. The airhorn scared all the birds away, which led to the Sanctuary being shut down temporarily until the birds returned. Mr. Hoots was then adopted by Lisa to look after whilst the Bird Sanctuary was closed.

After all the birds returned, the Sanctuary took Mr. Hoots back. Mr. Hoots then purposely set off the airhorn lunchbox, which Lisa had left behind, and scared all the birds off once more. This time, they ended up flocking to Olympus Estates.
