Synopsis[edit]
- "Maggie gets possessed by a demon; Lisa discovers a creepy/perfect version of her family in an alternative universe; Homer cannibalizes himself."
Plot[edit]
Opening Sequence: The Sweets Hereafter[edit]
The Simpson family is on a plate as part of candies distributed on Halloween at a house. Bart, as a Butterfinger bar, is afraid of being taken and Marge comforts him by saying he's always the last to be taken, and Homer says even a box of stale raisins gets taken before him. Nelson's Crunch and Kirkish Taffy get taken, and Apple Lisa complains about no one ever wants the apples, being afraid of razor blades being inside it. Marge comforts her by saying that she may be dipped in caramel, to Lisa's disgust. Shauna takes Grampa Senior Mints, after Homer moved aside, and eats its contents.
The next day, the family are the only ones left in the plate and they get placed on a shelf when the Halloween decorations are removed, where they find a chocolate Easter bunny who tells them they'll be left there, forgotten. Seeing his discomfort as no one took him, Homer starts eating him. Marge tries to stop him, but he tells her that chocolate doesn't feel anything, and resumes eating it, with the rest of the family joining in when he eats the bunny's mouth to shut it up. The camera pans to the wall, where The Simpsons Easter Special is written, but the chocolate from the bunny splatters all over it, covering the words, and dark chocolate then spells out Treehouse of Horror XXVIII.
The Exor-Sis[edit]
On a Pre-Christan temple site in northern Iraq, a Pazuzu statue is dug up and sent through Amazon to the Simpsons Home. Homer is temporarily possessed by the figurine and sings Maggie a creepy song, before putting it in her bed. At a cocktail party downstars everyone is enjoying the party, while Maggie floats down the stairs like a demon.
Maggie kills a complaining Helen Lovejoy, closes windows and doors, and then, after telling everyone that he is cheating on his wife, kills Dr. Hibbert. Ned tells them they need an exorcism.
After Ned is killed, Father Ben arrives, and performs the exorcism. However, after leaving Maggie, he possesses Bart, unknowingly of how evil he is. Bart gets Pazuzu to grow him some horns, but Homer mocks them. Angrily, Bart extends his horns to reindeer size, and one is them goes up Homer's nose. Homer is made to do jury duty with a large antler inside his head.
Coralisa[edit]
Maggie is still recovering from Pazuzu, and starts throwing up all over the dinner table. In Lisa's room, Snowball takes her through a secret tunnel and reveals that he can talk. The tunnel leads her to another version of her family who have buttons instead of eyes
This version of the family eats vegetables and likes to play jazz, meaning Lisa wishes to join them. Their version of Homer tells her that she can join them if they sew buttons over her eyes. Terrified, she runs back to her normal home. Back there, Homer kills a snake with Lisa's saxophone, which changes her idea and she agrees to have buttons on her eyes.
At home, several days later, the family talks about how Lisa has disappeared. Homer accepts it and says they'll not make favoritisms, while saying Maggie gets Lisa's room and clothes and Bart gets her homework. Bart escapes through the tunnel and gets accepted in the alternate reality.
Marge goes through to find Bart and Lisa. She finds that the alternate Homer doesn't pass gas, and stays.
Snowball II convinces Homer to go to the alternate reality, where Homer strangles the alternate Bart causing his head to come off. Whilst trying to get revenge the alternate Homer trips over and impales himself on a sewing needle. Angry at the death of her husband, the alternate Marge suddenly grows extra limbs. Back in the normal universe, Homer uses the alternate Homer to go to parent-teacher conferences instead of going himself, and Marge uses the alternate Marge to do chores for her.
MMM... Homer[edit]
Lisa warns the viewers of the incoming segment, that starts with the family, except Homer, going to Patty and Selma's, leaving him alone. Homer gets comfy, but ends up eating all of his food supplies, leaving no food in the house except vegetables.
He then finds a single frozen hotdog and while cooking it, he cuts his finger off on the grill. He discovers how tasty it is, and starts cooking his other hand's finger. He's invited to Ned's but dislikes the food, so he starts cooking parts of his body, but the family comes back.
At night, Marge discovers what he's been doing and takes him to a counselor, but he finds Mario Batali, who helps him change the house to a restaurant called Chef Homer that serves parts of his body as cooked food and opens up several restaurants in town too, in fact killing himself in the process. In Heaven, Homer comments to Jesus how he now shares people eating parts of his body with him.
