The Danish drug Othinquic takes a leading role in the episode. It is a parody of Ozempic, an anti-diabetes and anti-obesity medication sold by the Danish multinational Novo Nordisk
- Othinquic is a parody of Ozempic, an anti-obesity medication. Luigi uses the name Ozempic.
- As seen later in the sponsor ad, Othinquic is a Danish drug, referencing Ozempic again, which is manufactured and sold by the Danish multinational Novo Nordisk.
- The song "Oh, Oh, Oh, Othinquic" resembles Pilot's greatest hit "Magic", which was used in the 2018 television advertisement of Ozempic, replacing the intro "Oh, Oh, Oh, It's Magic" with "Oh, Oh, Oh, Ozempic".
- Barney starts dancing the Can-can while vocalizing to "Infernal Galop" from Orpheus in the Underworld by Jacques Offenbach.
- Carl mentions the medication Viagra, which was originally created as a treatment for angina, but had the side effect of treating erectile dysfunction.
