Boris' Car Loft is a car dealership in Springfield.

History[edit]

Homer Simpson temporarily worked at Boris' Car Loft as a salesman after he was fired from Springfield Nuclear Power Plant. Homer proved to be a poor salesman, however. A young couple were considering buying a car from Boris, but they were put off by Homer's sales technique and disgusted by his passing gas during the test drive (and then trying to cover it up by turning up the volume on the radio). The couple quickly left when Homer left them alone to discuss their purchasing options.

In short order, Homer was fired from his sales job, but as he was leaving the Car Loft, he saw an antique ambulance and became interested in it. In his mind, the ambulance's siren was like a voice screaming "BUY ME!" at him. Homer decided to buy the ambulance and become an ambulance driver.

Behind the Laughter[edit]

Boris' Car Loft is a reference to Hollywood movie star Boris Karloff.
