• The Learning Network is a reference to The Learning Channel (now often called by its acronym, TLC).
  • Nukes of Hazard is a reference to The Dukes of Hazzard.
  • Jesus Christ Superstorm is a reference to Jesus Christ Superstar.
  • Nostradamus: The Man Who Saw the Future is a reference to The Man Who Saw Tomorrow.
    • The movie was misplaced in a box with the comedy Doctor Detroit.
    • The movie is presented by Orson Welles, who identifies himself as the director of Citizen Kane.
    • The break-up of Fleetwood Mac is said to be predicted by Nostradamus. Their album Rumors cover is shown.
    • "Shortly after the anti-Christ becomes President" is referring to Donald Trump, as Marge and Homer exchange worried looks.
