The Yellow Lotus is a vacation resort in Springfield.
History
10 years ago, Homer and Marge attended a timeshare presentation by Nick Callahan for The Yellow Lotus. Marge was against the idea of signing up for it, but Homer agreed to once he was offered a free boombox.
In the present, the Simpsons used the points they had obtained to go on vacation to The Yellow Lotus. When they got there, Lindsey Naegle, the manager of the resort, told them that the company that owned the timeshare no longer owned the resort, but they would honor the points. 20 minutes after getting to their room, Lindsey told them they had to check out as all their points only equated to 20 minutes. While the Simpsons were waiting for the boat back, they overheard Tasha talk about how she had a room just for her luggage. The Simpsons then decided to squat in that room and stay at the resort.
While in the room, the Simpsons overheard Sideshow Bob, who was Tasha's husband, on the phone. They thought that Bob was planning on killing Tasha. Bob found out the Simpsons were in that room and told them that he wouldn't report them if they kept his secret. The Simpsons reluctantly agreed and stayed at the resort, making sure to hide away from Lindsey. After Mrs. Risotto, who was a fortune teller, revealed that someone would die at the resort, Homer and Marge told Tasha that they thought Sideshow Bob would kill her. Bob overheard them tell her this and called security on the Simpsons. While escaping from security, Homer and Marge saw Nick Callahan at the resort.
The next day, Homer and Marge confronted Callahan about the timeshare, but were taken away by security shortly after. As they were waiting for the boat back, Homer and Marge went for a swim. Callahan, who was also in the water, was then attacked by an otter with drugs in its system. Callahan died and his body ended up next to Homer and Marge, who were shocked to find him dead. Later, the news reported on Callahan's death by the Oxy Otter.
