Plot[edit]

Homer and Lisa are flicking through TV shows, trying to find a reality show to watch when Homer comes across Storage Battles. After becoming obsessed with the show, Homer decides that he wants to become a pro-bidder too. He takes the family to a storage locker auction where he bids against other Springfieldians for a locker, winning the auction for $1,000. Upon opening the storage locker, the family finds that it's full of boxes that belong to Grampa. Opening the boxes, the family finds women's clothing and fitness magazines and work out that Grampa must be secretly gay.

At home, Homer and Marge talk it over and decide to support Grampa and help him be who he is. The family go to the Retirement Castle and tell Grampa that they found his storage locker. Grampa tells them to go as the contents of the locker are his private business. The Simpsons then put an advert on the Internet to find Grampa a date. They set up a blind date where Smithers comes along and asks if Grampa is his date. When Grampa gets confused by this, Marge comes out and tells him to be happy with who he is, as a gay man. Grampa gets shocked by this accusation and tells the family that he is straight. As Homer puts the wig on Grampa, Mr. Burns comes along and recognizes Grampa as Glamorous Godfrey, a former professional wrestler.

Mr. Burns takes the Simpsons back to his mansion and shows them all his room filled with Glamorous Godfrey articles, photographs, posters, and other memorabilia. Grampa then tells the family about his past as Glamorous Godfrey and how he put on an act that led to him being hated, which Grampa grew to dislike. So, he gave up the wrestling life and put everything in a storage locker as he thought that being despised was no way to live. Mr. Burns takes offense to this as he thought of Glamorous Godfrey as his hero. Bart becomes a fan from his story and Mr. Burns asks Grampa to tell him stories.

Burns takes Grampa and Bart to The Coot Society where he sings "High to Be Loathed" to Grampa, to convince him to take up wrestling again. The song works and Grampa accepts. Bart becomes an even bigger fan of Grampa and starts to emulate Glamorous Godfrey's behavior, which makes him hated in town. Homer and Marge tell Bart to stop acting the way he is and Homer goes to Grampa and Burns to tell them about how Bart is copying Grampa's behavior. Burns then asks Grampa if he and Bart could team up for a wrestling match, which he accepts.

Grampa gets Beautiful Bart ready for his match as Marge goes to Grampa and tells him that she doesn't want Bart to become a bad person. In the tunnel on the way to the ring, Bart is approached by a fan and carries on with his heel act. Grampa gets concerned and tells Bart to leave the attitude to the ring. Before the fight begins, Grampa changes his outfit to become Honest Abe and turns Bart into Laddie Liberty, to Bart's shock. Mr. Burns gets annoyed at this and insults Bart.
