The Simpson family visited R. Bradbury's Traveling Night Circus, despite Lisa not wanting to go. Homer and Bart ran off to look at the circus freaks while Lisa talked to Marge, thinking Marge would agree with her about not wanting to be at the circus. An employee then mentioned Pint-Sized Hercules, the World's Strongest Boy, and Marge was excited to see him after seeing a poster for him. Lisa then wandered off and saw the tent for the Illustrated Man. As Lisa entered the tent, the ringmaster fired the Illustrated Man. Feeling bad for him, Lisa asked how much it cost to see a story from him.
Other freaks at the circus included: The Bearded Lady, The Amazing Wiffle Girl, Bi-Linguo, Blubby, and Brain-Zo.
