Kirkers Crackers is a cracker brand created by Kirk Van Houten and Homer Simpson.

History

When Homer stayed at Kirk's house one night, he lamented that he couldn't eat crackers in bed at home because Marge complained about the crumbs. This gave Kirk an idea, and after 96 straight hours, he came up with a cracker using an edible polymer and mouth-safe adhesive that didn't create crumbs when it was broken. When Homer tried the cracker, he found that it didn't produce crumbs, which shocked the whole family. Kirk and Homer then went into business together.

The two of them sold Kirkers Crackers at Cost-Lo, where they proved to be a huge hit. They opened their own factory to produce the crackers, appeared on the cover of Salteen Vogue, and appeared as guests on a CNBC show. However, Kirk not taking his bipolar medication led him to become more erratic. He started siphoning money from Kirkers Crackers to fund The Aqua Rocket, which was designed to take humans to the bottom of the ocean to live when the world ended. The FBI investigated Kirkers Crackers because of the missing money. Homer, thinking Kirk was a visionary, decided to take the fall and confess to the FBI. However, Marge gave Kirk his medication, then talked him into helping Homer. Kirk convinced Homer that he would confess to the FBI instead.
