- The title is a reference to the song "Hail to the Chief", best known as the personal anthem of the President of the USA.
- The name of the Puber app is a reference to Uber and puberty.
- When Homer uses the Puber app on Bart, Homer calls Bart Aaron Eckhart.

- A California Raisins lunch box. The California Raisins were a fictional rhythm and blues animated musical group that was popular from 1986 to 2002.

- The family receives a flier from Lowe's, the American retail company specializing in home improvement.
- Artie Ziff's hologram features rapper Tupac Shakur, who sings "My Boy Artie". The tattoos on his back parody his real-life tattoos, including:
- "Top of the World" instead of "Fuck the World".
- "Cry Now" instead of "Cry Later".

- At Artie's party, the "Groomsday Clock" parodies the Doomsday Clock.
