The Carter-Dixon Tunnel is a tunnel located near the outskirts of Springfield.

History

After a hurricane passed through Springfield, Barney's Bowlarama was lifted out of the ground and blown over the Carter-Dixon Tunnel where it could be seen teetering precariously on a high point.[1]

Behind the Laughter

The tunnel is named after former U.S. presidents Jimmy Carter and Richard Nixon.
