While Homer Bart wandered through Springfield Mall looking for a gift to give to Lisa for her birthday, they came across a kiosk that allowed parents to create personalized movies starring their children. Homer decided that Lisa would be happier with this instead of a Turbo Diary, which were all sold out. Lisa, however, became angry at her father because the video he made for her showed that he knew barely anything about his daughter. In order to win back her love, Homer decided to hire Dexter Colt to find out everything about Lisa so he would seem like a better parent. When Homer drove to Colt's office, he parked in front of the Hard Luck Cafe and the Hangover Hamlet, which were both located across from the office.
