• The title is a reference to the song "Hail to the Chief", best known as the personal anthem of the President of the USA.
• The name of the Puber app is a reference to Uber and puberty.
• When Homer uses the Puber app on Bart, Homer calls Bart Aaron Eckhart.
• Things Homer drunk-bought from eBay include:
  • A California Raisins lunch box. The California Raisins were a fictional rhythm and blues animated musical group that was popular from 1986 to 2002.
  • Paternity episodes from Maury by TV personality Maury Povich.
• The family receives a flier from Lowe's, the American retail company specializing in home improvement.

• During Artie's party, "Flower Duet" by Léo Delibes, from the opera Lakmé, plays while the women perform synchronized swimming.
• Lisa reads E. B. White's novel Charlotte's Web to the class, mentioning the protagonists, Charlotte the barn spider and Wilbur the pig.

• Kent Brockman is initially colored incorrectly at Artie's wedding, having cream hair and suit. He then goes back to having white hair and a brown suit shortly after.
