- The episode title is a reference to the 1944 song "Baby, It's Cold Outside" by Frank Loesser and it is the same song (with a few changes to the lyrics) that Sideshow Bob and Cassandra sing together in the final scene.
- During the title screen gag and couch gag, "Deck the Halls" plays.
- During the Created By and Developed By credits, "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing" by Felix Mendelssohn plays.
- "Carol of the Bells" by Mykola Leontovych plays several times in the episode.
- The United Parcel Service (UPS) delivers parcels in Springfield.
- Sideshow Bob sings a parody of the Christmas carol "Ding Dong Merrily on High".
