Kill Gil, Volumes I & II/References

The episode title is a reference to Kill Bill: Volume 1 & 2.
The performers at Krusty's Kristmas on Ice show sing a modified version of "Deck the Halls" ("Krusty's Kristmas on Ice"), the popular Christmas carol.
One of the characters in the ice show is "Matrix Poochie", a reference to The Matrix. He is costumed as Neo and enters the rink bent over backwards, similar to Neo when he fights the agent on the roof.
When talking about Elvis Stojko, Moe says that all male figure skaters are "twinkly in the Lutz", with Lutz being a figure skating jump.
"Dance of the Reed Flutes" from The Nutcracker by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky is heard during the Christmas tree act at the ice rink.
"Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy", also from The Nutcracker, is played when Krusty and Mel's body doubles skate.
The Grumple is a parody of The Grinch, the Christmas villain created by Dr. Seuss.

Utah Jazz were due to play right after Krusty's Ice show

The Utah Jazz professional basketball team were due to play in the same arena where Krusty's show was being held at.
Mr. Burns has an Art Deco collection.
The Simpsons sing "The Twelve Days of Christmas" while Gil plays the piano on Christmas Eve.
The song "Jazzin' Around the Christmas Tree" is a parody of "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree".
Gil prepares some eggs "à la Harold Stassen", and says "they're always running". Harold Stassen's name became synonymous with being the candidate who always ran for his party's nomination, but never won.
Gil is watching the Rose Parade on TV and a band from Altoona, Pennsylvania plays "Rachel's Theme" from the 2005 film Batman Begins.

Marge mentions Martin Luther King when Gil stays at her house during the Martin Luther King Day.
Moe asks Homer if he misses the UPN.
The scene where a calendar marks the holidays in between the scenes while "Happy Holiday" by Irving Berlin is heard is a parody of the turkey in the calendar sequence of the 1942 film Holiday Inn.

The Simpsons go Scottsdale, Arizona and meet Gil, who is now working as a real estate agent. Gil offers them a house in a cul-de-sac where American country singer Tanya Tucker could be their neighbor.
The song "Holly Jolly Christmas" heard at the end of the episode is a parody of "Holly Jolly Christmas".
