- The music that plays when Homer is trying to stop Bart from breaking the violin is the Symphony #5 in C minor by Ludwig van Beethoven.
- When Marge arrives with her car with no mints, Homer complains saying that he should have order an Uber.
- Jerk Circle is a reference to the Circle Jerks band.
- According to Moe, his only connection with his dad was via LinkedIn, the social media platform for business.
- Homer's favorite movie is Fast & Furious 6. Marge reminds him that the film is about family, when Homer thinks it's just about cars.

- When Moe yells at Homer, Lenny Leonard, Carl Carlson, and Barney Gumble to get out of his bar, and smashes their beer glasses, the beginning of the toy train track on the counter suddenly vanishes.
