Synopsis
Plot
Homer wakes the entire family up to get ready to visit the Riot Rivers water park, where he worked with Lenny and Carl in the past and had a bad reputation, resulting in lawsuits, of injuries.
However, when they arrived, the placed had changed names to Quiet Rivers, a place completely changed to quiet, piece and no injuries. Homer goes venturing further with Bart and Lisa however to find the most dangerous ride there was, the Devil's Deluge.
Homer goes to open the water up and grabs the kids for a dangerous ride splashing in some weird water at the end. When they rejoin Marge and Maggie however their bellies felt weird and they get brought to the Springfield General Hospital.
To cure the problem caused by the water, a four weeks regiment of taxing Lorexo-Cortisone, steroids, was issued by Dr. Hibbert, with weight gain as side effect, and after four weeks they've gained a big belly, right before the start of the new school year.
Lisa starts getting anxious over it, after Marge tells her she's chunky, while Bart gets accepted by the bullies in the Meat Castle, where they get swole by exercising. Meanwhile Marge things her anxiety is caused by not having new school clothes for the new year and takes her to Springfield Mall, where she causes trouble at the Club Lounge for having to wear clothes for 10 years old.
Bart's adventures in the castle, Lisa gets back home slamming the door and running upstairs, so Marge sends Homer up, who tries to solve the problem, but Lisa confessed the problem is she cares too much of what people think, and Homer says that to not care about that wouldn't be human, so he thinks Patty and Selma could help her solve the problem.
They teach Lisa how to don't care with a song at the park and she starts meditating at the house, but Marge, after apologizing for causing the problem, remembers her that after the medicines were off, she'd return to "normal" and being her "perfect" little girl again, furthering off her problem by mistake.
At the King Toot's Music Store, Luann tries to help Marge fix the issue with Lisa by giving her the number of Dr. Wendy Sage, a hypnotherapist. Meanwhile at the school Bart enters the castle just to find out that the bullies brought their new girlfriends in, and leaves feeling left out.
At Wendy Sage's office she uses a hypnowheel to ipnotize them to visit Lisa's mind, where Marge finds out the big sign of "chunky", before traveling to Marge's mind where they discover the "plain" sign caused by her mother.
By discovering their shared problem, their mental signs shrink down and they both feel better, wondering in the end if everyone had the same problem in their head, then multiple characters are shown with their big signs inside their heads, with Homer having the most, while he's in the hammock.
