- The statue of Abe in France has a reference to WW2 General George S. Patton.
- When Ned Flanders starts praying in Skinner's office, Superintendent Chalmers breaks an emergency cabinet that hold the Engel v. Vitale case. This ruled that it is unconstitutional for state officials to compose an official school prayer and encourage its recitation in public schools, due to violation of the first amendment.
