Homer drives Calvin to his taxidermy class at [[Second Life Taxidermy]]. After mocking Calvin and taxidermy, Homer goes to [[Moe's Tavern]] where he complains to his friends about Calvin. At school, Bart realizes that Lisa is becoming obsessed with throwing the best party ever. At Blythe's house, Homer puts on Calvin's hat and kneels down to look in the mirror whilst imitating Calvin mockingly. Grampa then walks in and says nice things to Homer, which makes Homer happy, until Homer realizes that Grampa had his eye drops in and thought he was talking to Calvin. Homer got depressed that his father loved Calvin more than him and went to sit outside. When Calvin went over to Homer, he realized that Homer was feeling down about his relationship with Grampa. Homer then showed Calvin how Grampa treats him by dressing Calvin up as Homer. Calvin and Homer talk and Calvin convinces Homer that he needs to show Grampa how he really feels about their relationship.

Synopsis[edit]

Homer is stunned by his feelings of rage and resentment when Grampa becomes a doting stepfather to his girlfriend's quirky young son. Meanwhile, Lisa and Bart throw the ultimate slumber party in Grampa's room at the Retirement Castle.

Plot[edit]

The Simpson family go to the Art in the Park event, where Lisa bumps into Sherri, Terri, and Janey, who are doing a scavenger hunt for Francine's birthday party. They attend Art in the Park to get a picture of something sad. When Lisa realizes she hasn't been invited because she's a party narc, they take a picture of Lisa. Meanwhile, Marge buys a small wooden box and some polish for it, which contains carnauba wax. At the same time, Homer sees an old man with a man bun and starts mocking him—until he realizes it's Grampa. Grampa introduces Homer and Marge to his new girlfriend, Blythe, who he's been seeing for six months. They meet at the Retirement Castle, where Blythe is hired to cleanse the residents' auras with a therapeutic sound bath. Grampa also reveals that he's moving in with Blythe.

Homer and Marge have dinner with Blythe and Grampa and discover that Blythe has a son, Calvin. Homer assumes Calvin is a weird kid and expects Grampa to dislike him, but Grampa treats Calvin better than he treats Homer. Seeing this, Homer starts treating Calvin with disdain and pushes away the food Calvin and Grampa make together. During dinner, Calvin gives Grampa his eye drops, which make him partially blind. Homer also learns that Calvin practices taxidermy.

Homer stays in Calvin's room, but the two fight due to Homer's dislike of Calvin. This escalates into a prank war. At the Retirement Castle, Bart and Lisa throw a party, which becomes a massive hit with the kids.

Homer drives Calvin to his taxidermy class at Second Life Taxidermy. After mocking both Calvin and taxidermy, Homer visits Moe's Tavern to complain to his friends.
