The Springfield Toxic Waste Dump

Radioactive Waste is commonly seen around Springfield as an ominous green sludge-like liquid sealed in a leaking drum with the radioactive. The common sight of these barrels is due to town's close vicinity to the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, and the corrupt tactics of Mr. Burns. symbol on it. Also on many occasions the liquid itself can be heard humming and throbbing as if it were alive. It is seen in the most unsafe dumping environments like under the sea and stuffed into trees and hidden in playgrounds and the homes of the Plant employees[1].
