Synopsis
- "After Moe breaks their most sacred rule, a secret society of bartenders seeks ultimate vengeance on Homer and his friends."
Plot
One night, a biker reaches The Confidential, where bartenders reunites to talk about the stories told by their patrons, keeping them secret. The biker is revealed to be Moe. At Krustylu Studios, Bart and Milhouse are trying to enter The Krusty the Clown Show filming, but they get stopped as snakes escaped in the studio, so they go to the ¡Noches con Abejorrito! show, hosted by Bumblebee Man.
When the ¡No Te 'splotes! game starts, Bart gets invited on stage, if he doesn't laugh while having Humble Nun Horchata in his mouth, he gets a prize. Due to not understanding Spanish, Bart doesn't laugh and wins Calavera Gritando, a crystal skull. Homer begs Bart to give him the crystal skull as it contains tequila, but he refuses and pranks him to make him angry. At night, he switches the skull for Maggie on Bart's bed, after it tempts him saying he's too weak to drink it.
Homer brings the skull at Moe's, where Moe starts pouring it for everyone, but gets convinced to join them as he's their friend too. The skull tells Homer he's a fool and that he ruined Moe's life, and the descent into hell was beginning. Moe wakes up in the day, when he starts remembering all the stuff they did, drunk, the last night. At Squidport, drunk Moe started revealing how the other bartenders reveal secrets to each other at The Confidential, telling every person a secret of them, before Homer, shocked at him, drops the skull destroying it.
Back in the present, Moe gets notified by Kristof that he had to attend to Artemis at The Confidential, who tells him the story of how the hidden society was born at the time of the pyramids building in Egypt, and how he broke the first and only rule. He was not going to be expelled, but also his barflies would have to be cut off.
He reaches them at the Power Plant, to warn them about being injected with Antibooze, a drug that makes it so you can never drink again. It was too late though, as Barney is reached at his home, not working with them, and is injected with it. Moe, Homer, Lenny and Carl start running, as all bartenders get notified of the cut off. Moe has them escape while he holds them off with his rug, and then tells them to run off to another town and not turn back.
Just when Lenny and Carl were leaving in the dark, a German bartender injects them with the drug, so Homer and Moe run home to collect the family and leave, but Dr. Hibbert is at the house, and he was a bartender. Hibbert drugs Homer, and three months later, Homer is a completely changed man and father. He goes to Eightbucks Coffee just before work and meets the other guys there and they reminisce how their life changed for the better since they stopped drinking.
Afterwards, they go to the omelet bar where Moe is working now, at his lowest point in life. Seeing him in this state, they cheer him up and say they'd still love for him to be their bartender, even though they can't drink anymore. At the tavern, Artemis shows up and offers them the antidote after seeing what happened. Lenny, Carl and Barney take it, but Homer refuses.
After a nod from Moe and the other, Artemis sets out every bartender in town in seek for Homer to give him the dose, though what happens next is unknown. The next day, Lisa and Bart are taking Maggie on a stroll when they find the broken skull on the sidewalk, which recomposes itself and warns them of the dangers of alcohol, as their family has a genetic predisposition to addiction, including Maggie. As he's finishing the speech, the three then starts running away from it.
Production
Originally "The Last Barfighter" ended with Homer being offered to chose the syringe which gave him just the right amount of drunkenness in his life. Homer picked a syringe labelled "wine with dinner", but they weren't sure what that meant exactly.[1][2]
