Revision as of 19:26, September 28, 2008
The Simpsons' twentieth season will begin airing on Fox at 8:00PM on September 28 2008. Production on the season was delayed because of contract negotiations with the six main voice actors. The dispute was resolved, and the actors' salary raised to $400,000 per episode. The delay in production has caused the planned 22 episodes to be shortened to 20.

Confirmed Plots and guest stars
- The September 28 season premiere, Sex, Pies and Idiot Scrapes will see Homer become a bounty hunter. Julia Louis-Dreyfus will return as Snake's (now pregnant) girlfriend Gloria for the third time.
- The episode airing 05 October 2008, Lost Verizon will have Bart discovering guest star Denis Leary's discarded cell phone and using it for prank calls, as well as getting Leary to accept a role in Brian Grazer's new film, with Grazer guest starring for the second time. Matt Damon will guest star in this eposide
- "Treehouse of Horror XIX" is going to air on November 2nd or 9th and will parody "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" as "It's the Grand Pumpkin, Milhouse". In it, the Great Pumpkin comes to life and becomes upset with humans carving up pumpkins, so he tries to eat everyone. The reason the episode couldn't be named "It's the Great Pumpkin, Milhouse" to exactly match its parody was because of a "big legal issue", according to executive producer Al Jean.
- A December 2008 episode will feature Mr. Burns winning a basketball team in a poker game. Mark Cuban and Jeff Bezos will guest star.
- The episode written by Rogen and Goldberg sees Comic Book Guy create a superhero, which is adapted into a film starring Homer. Rogen plays his personal trainer. Homer gets into great shape but the film is cancelled, and his life falls apart.
- Robert Forster, Merl Reagle, Shohreh Aghdashloo, and Marv Albert are also slated to guest star.
