"Changing of the Guardian" is the eleventh episode of season 24. It first aired on January 27, 2013.
Contents
Synopsis
After surviving a tornado, Marge and Homer seek out guardians for the kids, in case the worst should happen. They first turn to friends and family, including Homer's half-brother, Herb Powell with whom to entrust their kids, but when Bart and Lisa fall in love with a super-cool couple, Mav and Portia, Marge starts to question their potential guardians' true motivations.[1]
Plot
The Simpson family plays a boardgame when a storm is in Springfield. The family discovers that Santa's Little Helper are caught by a tornado and Homer and Marge follows the dog with Carl and Lenny. The storm calms down and they find the dog but Homer and Marge get stuck in the door to the National Bank of Springfield after the storm got hold of and after it released it landed on them. They come out after a while and realize that if they was dead, they have no guardian to their children. They decide to searching after their guardian. They check first with their relatives but they soon realizes that it is not a good idea. They start searching at the other resident of Springfield but no one wants to be their guardian so they begin to look outside the city. They can not find a pair they like so they give up and go to the beach instead where they meet Portia and Mav which they like. They eating dinner with Portia and Mav and tell me they want to be their guardian. They accept it if they is letting to meet the kids. Homer and Marge start spending much more time for themselves when Portia and Mav taking care of the the kids. Homer and Marge realizes soon that Portia and Mav see their children as their own and decide to end their guardian with the children. The kids are happy to Homer and Marge want them for themselves for they are the real parents, Portia and Mav accept their decision. The family goes home and enjoys spending time as family again.
