Plot
Someone is looking at YouTube when they see a video from TheSimpsonsFamilyChannel titled "Our Brand-New House!!". They click the video and start to watch as the Simpsons give a tour of their new mansion that was bought for them by a sponsor, Coinstar. After seeing enough of this video, the user searches for "Simpson Family Who?" to find out who the Simpsons are. They find a video from Comic Book Guy who gives a recap of how the Simpsons rose to fame. A video of Maggie and Homer called "Cute Baby Gets Stage Fright" went viral and the Simpsons started to rise to fame. They then started a YouTube channel, mainly focusing on Homer and Maggie. When another video went viral, this time "Ten-Year-Old Drugged-Out After Oral Surgery During Family Car Sing-A-Long" went viral, the Simpsons' popularity exploded and they each started their own YouTube series on the channel.
The user then clicks on another video, "Love Those Crazy Simpsons" by Martin Prince. Martin explains the YouTube series that each family made. Marge started doing interviews where she made her guests eat deep fried food, called "Deep Fried Thoughts". Bart started a prank show called "'Gurt Squad" where he sprayed yogurt over the people of Springfield. Lisa made videos where she went to local beaches and cleaned them up. The user then clicks on another video, "The Dark Side of the Simpson Family" by Truth Wizard. Truth Wizard says that the Simpsons aren't who they say they are and that they can't let the lies continue. Truth Wizard is quickly revealed to be Milhouse, who was the camera man for the Simpsons' vlogs. Milhouse then shows several clips that show the Simpsons in a bad light. Homer was horrible and filled with rage behind the scenes, Bart's co-stars were just paid Spucklers, and Lisa had her crew dirty beaches and rented a seal to save. Milhouse then shows another clip where Homer agrees to give Maggie a Nom-Noms 6: European Nom-cation experience in her bedroom, despite Maggie being afraid of the Nom-Noms.
On another video, "The Lenny and Carl Situation", Lenny, Carl, and Moe discussed Homer and talked about how he had never mentioned Maggie to them when they were all drinking buddies. They also say that Maggie refused to do videos with Homer anymore, so they made a fake Maggie out of practical effects, which they then showed a clip of. After the user sees the video goes on for another few hours, he clicks on another video, this one being the Simpsons announcing that they will be making an announcement. After this, the Simpsons weren't heard from again.
The YouTube user then goes down a rabbit hole of conspiracy theories about the Simpsons, starting with Professor Frink coming to the conclusion that they were kidnapped by a major corporation, Principal Skinner thinking that Homer was taken over by an alien, Mike Wegman saying to just leave Homer Simpsons alone, and Patty and Selma thinking that Homer snapped and killed the family. The user then clicks on another video by the school bullies where they reveal that they know where the Simpsons' mansion is. Several other vloggers also find the location and they all descend on the house until they find the Simpsons locked in the panic room.
On Opal's show, the Simpsons reveal that the mansion was created by a company that had only made NFTs of houses before, and the panic room door was put on backwards. This meant that they couldn't get out once it closed. All the family ended up in the panic room together and survived off the sponsored products they had been given but never eaten. During their time locked up, they bonded again and made up their differences. They also decided to get off YouTube and stop vlogging.
The YouTube user is revealed to be George R. R. Martin who complains about wasting four hours of his life. A woman then yells at him to get working on his new book. Martin then searches for "dragon ideas" on YouTube and finds a video of two drag queens, Bob the Drag Queen and Monét X Change, fighting in a Waffle House, which he enjoys.
