"Bart the Cool Kid" is the fifteenth episode of broadcast season 33 of The Simpsons and the seven hundred twenty-first episode overall. It originally aired on March 20, 2022. The episode was written by Ryan Koh and directed by Steven Dean Moore. It guest stars Michael Rapaport as Mike Wegman and The Weeknd as Orion and Darius Hughes.

Synopsis[edit]
- Bart befriends a famous kid influencer, Orion Hughes, who owns an ultra-cool skate wear brand, which leads to Bart getting his own shoes. Meanwhile, Homer and Mike Wegman team up to sell counterfeit versions of the products.
Plot[edit]
Bart arrives at school and discovers that Ralph is wearing the new Slipreme Caliphates, a brand owned by Orion Hughes. At home, Bart asks his parents to buy him the shoes. Homer waits in line at the store and surprises Bart with them the next morning. At school, Bart becomes popular and tries the shoes on his skateboard, but they suddenly fall apart.
Bart texts Homer at work, but Homer rushes to the store to stop him from returning them, revealing he bought fake shoes from Mike Wegman to avoid standing in line. At the store, Homer is too late and Bart is humiliated when the shoes fall apart and Homer accidentally rips his pants, with the incident being recorded and shared online.
At home, Bart lashes out, calling Homer the least cool person who ever lived. Suddenly, Orion arrives at their home to apologize for his employees' actions and offers them brand-new, authentic Slipreme products. Bart invites him to skate, but Orion admits he never learned. The two begin hanging out and decide to create a new sneaker together.
Meanwhile, in his attempt to become cool, Homer wears one of the donated outfits from Orion. Mike Wegman posts a picture of him on Instasnap, and it gains attention. At Moe's, Homer distributes clothes to the barflies, and they go to Grill Brush Depot to continue the trend.
Bart and Orion develop the Bartman One, but during the launch party preparations, they realize the brand has become popular among the uncool and middle-aged crowd. Fearing the brand's downfall, Bart discovers Homer is behind the trend and calls Marge for help.
Marge convinces Homer to go back home and make popcorn. Homer redirects the older crowd to The Museum of Aviation History. In the end, Bart and Homer reconcile. However, with the shoes sold out, they buy a pair from Wegman and wait in line for a chicken sandwich—only for the shoes to fall apart again. Meanwhile, Orion's father, Darius, reveals that Orion is a clone of him, just like in his movie.
