New York is one of the 50 states in the US. Its capital city is Albany, and its most populous city is New York City.

History

Homer watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade held in New York City on television.[1]

A boy in Queens entered an essay competition to win a trip to Washington, D.C.[2]

The new Mr. Plow commercial showed a New York City skyline with the World Trade Center.[3]

The Simpson family once traveled to New York City so that Homer could retrieve his car after Barney went on a joyride with it.[4]

After getting run out of Florida, the Simpson family tried to decide on where to go for their next vacation. They looked at a map of the US that had most of the states crossed out, which were apparently all the states the Simpsons were no longer allowed to enter.[5]
