First mentioned: "Kamp Krusty"
First appearance: "Insane Clown Poppy"

Iraq is a country in Asia. Its capital city is Baghdad.

History[edit]

Kent Brockman described the scene at Kamp Krusty as being worse than Iraq.[1]

Krusty once performed at a U.S. military base in Iraq, where he met Erin.[2]

Apu lists Iraq as being among America's enemies.[3]

When the night shift workers began fighting with the day shift workers at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, Smithers told Mr. Burns that the two groups were fighting like Iraq and Iran.[4]

Kent Brockman lied on TV about his past saying that he was embedded with the 98th Airborne in Basra during the Iraq War. An Iraq war veteran did not believe Kent, as the veteran himself had been in the 98th Airborne.[5]

When the Simpson family moved to The Outlands, they found that they were right next door to Julian Assange. Assange invited them to come over for a movie, and Marge asked, "Is it Iraqi journalists being murdered?" Assange replied, "Don't be ridiculous. It's an Afghan wedding being bombed."[6]
