Country Information
|
Afghanistan is a country in Asia. Its capital city is Kabul.
History[edit]
When describing the conditions at Kamp Krusty, Kent Brockman mentioned that he had been to Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq and he stated that the camp was worse than all three.[1]
Kabul was once a sister city to Springfield. However, after the baby riot at Roofi's concert, Kabul ended the affiliation.[2]
Chet claimed to have filmed in Afghanistan, Serbia and Lebanon, though in actuality he had only filmed weddings in Dallas-Fort Worth.[3]
Springfield has an Afghan restaurant, Two Guys from Kabul.[4]
When the Simpson family moved to The Outlands, they found that they were right next door to Julian Assange. Assange invited them to come over for a movie, and Marge asked, "Is it Iraqi journalists being murdered?" Assange replied, "Don't be ridiculous. It's an Afghan wedding being bombed."[5]

Bart once prank called Jack Bauer, while claiming to be someone named "Ahmed Adoody". Jack then asked Chloe O'Brian to find out all she could about "Ahmed", to which she responded, "Ahmed Adoody - wealthy Saudi. Disappeared into Afghanistan in the late '90s." Jack questioned Chloe further, and she revealed that "Ahmed Adoody" was a joke name and the phone call was a prank.[6]
