- Comic Book Guy tries to sell a Spinal Tap T-Shirt depicting the band kicking Muammar Gaddafi in the butt. Gaddafi was a Libyan revolutionary who ruled Libya from 1969 until his death by rebel forces in 2011.
- In an interview with KBBL, David St. Hubbins says that after the fall of the Berlin Wall, Spinal Tap's records started selling in the "dismal" side of the Iron Curtain. He is referring to the Eastern Bloc, the group of countries under the influence or control of the Soviet Union during the Cold War.

- When Otto crashes into the street sign at the end and bends it, it is seen unbent in the next shot.
