Maggie Simpson's Book of Colors and Shapes is a book with illustrations of different objects and members of the Simpson family to represent colors and shapes. Maggie Simpson discovers all kinds of colors and shapes as she finds pink doughnuts, yellow lightning zigzags, black bowling balls, and more.
Marge is with Maggie in the grocery store buying cherries. When they come home, Maggie eats an ice cream, which she drops, and Santa's Little Helper eats it. Maggie then goes outside to play on the ice with the family. In the next scene, Marge has hung up Maggie on the clothesline, and hangs a sheet on the same clothesline. The family then goes bowling. During a thunderstorm, Maggie gets scared. The next scene takes place in the arcade, where Homer is mad that he has lost again in arcade game. In the next scene Maggie is in the bathtub with a sailboat, then it's time to celebrate Halloween. Lisa lights up the pumpkin as the dog starts to eat the pumpkin guts. In the next scene Bart wants to get a tattoo, then we see a tired Marge drinking a cup of coffee in the morning.
The family then goes to the beach, where Maggie finds a starfish and Bart is pincned by a crab. At home Maggie grabs a donut, which Homer wants to eat. A window breaks after Bart fails to catch a baseball. Maggie climbs a tree and looks at a bird's nest with six eggs. Maggie is holding a balloon which she loses and the dog starts to chase it. Next we see Maggie in the kitchen, feeding SLH and Snowball II graham crackers. Bart and Lisa look at Krusty while Maggie pulls the dog in a cart. After the family has made a snowman, Bart throws a snowball at Homer. Maggie is at daycare, where the children are painting and playing with blocks. The family is out camping. Bart shoots with his slingshot, Lisa eats her sandwich and Maggie tries to feed a baby bear a slice of pie. In the last scene Maggie has painted lots of forms and shapes on the wall.
