"Gone Abie Gone" is the forth episode of season 24. It first aired on November 11, 2012.

Synopsis

When Grampa escapes from his retirement home, Homer and Marge frantically try to track him down by following clues that reveal secrets in Grampa's past, including that he worked at a local restaurant with composer Marvin Hamlisch (guest-voicing as himself) and met and fell in love with the restaurant's singer Rita LaFleur (guest voice Anika Noni Rose). Meanwhile Lisa tries her hand at online poker, getting tips from the experts, including Jennifer Tilly (guest-voicing as herself), but is soon gambling with her college fund.[1]

Plot

Homer visit Gulp 'N' Blow, where he get inadvertently burns by the onion rings. Homer sue them and get $ 5,000. Homer place the money at the bank for Lisa's college but after visiting the Moe's, he puts them on FlamingHotPoker.net. Lisa finds out that Homer placed her money on a poker site and she do not like the idea.

Marge discover that they forgot to visit Abe yesterday and they drive to Springfield Retirement Castle to apologize but when they get there, they find out that he has disappeared. Marge and Homer searching through his room to look for clues and find a paper from Spiro's where it says "The place that changed my life" and they go there. Lisa discovers that Bart is playing poker with her college money and has lost $ 62. After Lisa had thrown Bart out of the house, she tries to win them back and do it and end up on the plus side. Homer and Marge visit Spiro's where the owner says that Grandpa worked there and tell them a story about Grandpa and Rita LaFleur. He gives them her phone number, they calling her and he tell them at she is married to the him.

Lisa has studied poker and continued to play with her college money and has increased her $ 5000 to $ 360,725. Homer and Marge visit Rita who thell them about their love story. How they got married when Homer was six years old, and how Abe decided to stay in USA when Rita went on tour in Europe for taking care of Homer. Lisa has amassed to $ 413.762 which is enough money to get the best college education, but she sees an opportunity to get even more money when she sees that she has a chance to win a hand and she bet everything. Lisa loses all the money to Sideshow Bob and get sad for she has ruined her future. Bart sees at Lisa is sad and tells her that she has still the money for he's Sideshow Bob, and he gives back them to her because he likes her and feels sorry for her, but he tell her at they only has $ 5000 again for the poker site has discovered that they were both under 18. Lisa thanks Bart.

Rita gives Homer and Marge a bottle Chicory Mist Cologne that she is Abe's they visit the Vandersniff & Whiffly purveyors of Fine Nostrilables which is the only place in Springfield who sells it. They discover that the Abe works there, and Homer and Marge apologizes to him. He says he fled for the thinks he's boring and he could not wait for them. Marge promises to visit him more and Homer explain why it's hard to came all the time. Grandpa says that it is not forgiven, but they are mostly forgotten. Grandpa is back at the Retirement Castle where he meet Rita, they are happy to see each oter and they start singing their song.
