Futurama

Futurama is an animated science-fiction comedy show, that was also created by Matt Groening. Numerous references have been made to the show throughout the run of The Simpsons as well as Futurama making references to The Simpsons. Many people have compared the Futurama main characters with The Simpsons main characters such as Bender is Futurama's Homer.

A running joke is that on The Simpsons, Futurama is a fictional cartoon show on Futurama, however, it is The Simpsons that is a fictional cartoon show.

	21	445	"Treehouse of Horror XX"	Hubert Wong, a reference to Hubert Farnsworth and Amy Wong, is seen.
	22	481	"Love is a Many-Strangled Thing"	The title screen gag does a parody of the Futurama opening sequence where the Planet Express ship flies across the screen while a small piece of music from the Futurama opening theme is played before The Simpsons theme takes over.

	The Simpsons Wrestling	Leela and Bender are among the public in Kang and Kodos spaceship.
	The Simpsons Game	Bender and Zoidberg appear as enemies in the level "Five Characters in Search of an Author". One of the achievements for the game is called "Back to the Futurama" with Bender as the picture.
	Comic Book Guy's Book of Pop Culture	Comic Book Guy is shown to have a "Bender blender" in his kitchen. "Bite my shiny metal ass!" also appears as one of the quotes listed in "CBG's Greatest Quotes of All Time!" section.
	In "The Springfield Police Department's Evidence Locker!" section, one of the items seen is a TV playing cheap knock-off DVDs. The DVD playing is called "Future Guy" and shows Brian as Nibbler and Peter Griffin as Zoidberg.

	8	"A Big Piece of Garbage"	On the trash asteroid, a pile of Bart Simpson dolls can be seen. Bender picks up one and hears Bart say his catchprase, "Eat my shorts". Bender complies and eat them and mimics Homer in saying "Mmm... shorts". Nancy Cartwright voiced the Bart Simpson doll.
	9	"Hell Is Other Robots"	When Fry and Leela open the door to the Robot Hell, a heart with an arrow through reads "H.S. 4 M.B.". This means "Homer Simpson for Marge Bouvier" (later Simpson).
	11	"Mars University"	Homer and Bart toys appear as prizes at the "Coney Island College".
	13	"Fry and the Slurm Factory"	Bart, Lisa, and Maggie appear in the opening sequence on the TV screen in one the Tracey Ullman short, "Making Faces".
	2	18	"Why Must I Be a Crustacean in Love?"	The opening subtitle is "From the network that brought you 'The Simpsons'."
	3	36	"The Luck of the Fryrish"	Bart's head appears on the shelf.

	61	"Jurassic Bark"	The hole of the miniature windmill is closed until further notice due to someone being inconsiderate and creating an unsanitary condition. This this is a reference to "Natural Born Kissers" in which Homer and Marge have sex at a mini golf windmill.
	Bender's Big Score	Apu and Manjula's heads appear in the head museum.
	The Beast with a Billion Backs	The end credits show the actor's name, together with an array of pictures of the characters they voiced. This is similar to The Simpsons Movie.
	6	90	"In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela"	Bender mentions that a censor chip cancelled shows like "The Pimpsons".
	99	"Lrrreconcilable Ndndifferences"	Bender asks Matt Groening's head when the second Simpsons Movie is coming out, and after being shot, he shouts "D'oh!".
	106	"The Tip of the Zoidberg"	Fry develops a condition called "Simpsons jaundice", which turns his skin yellow. He then says "Ay carumba!".
	Futurama Conquers The Universe	In Leela & Amy in Hostile Makeover, the wig Amy puts on Leela about halfway through the comic is the same style as Marge's.

• In reference to the longevity of the show, it was stated that in the year 3000 The Simpsons are still on the air and keep producing original episodes even over one thousand seasons.^{[citation needed]}
