The Good, the Bart, and the Loki is a Marvel themed special The Simpsons short. It released on Disney+ on July 7, 2021.[3]
Synopsis
- "Loki has been banished from Asgard and finds himself in Springfield, where he teams up with Bart Simpson.[1]"
Plot
On the bridge to Asgard, Loki is once again banished by Odin for his crimes, this time to Springfield, where he lands next at Bart's treehouse. Bart meets him and they start comparing their own family. Bart invites him to dinner and Loki starts using his powers, dividing pork and once Lisa protests, he sends her to Asgard, where she finds Thor's hammer.
After reading the text on the hammer, she brandishes it, thinking she's not worthy, but she gets its powers and get transported to the bridge and returns to Springfield, along with the Springfield Avengers. She sends Loki away with the hammer, but makes a big mistake, as with his powers, Loki transformed himself into Bart and Bart into Loki. Homer is happy with the exchange and asks Loki to transform Ned in a pork chop before kissing him good night.
In the credits scenes, Thanos-Comic Book Guy snaps his finger with The Infinity Gauntlet, making other Springfield Avengers disappear; Homer tries to pick up Thor's hammer but fails; Loki is Moe at the Tavern and offers the barfliers free beer, saying that they'll ruin their lives and the planet; the treehouse, Marge, Santa's Little Helper and Homer pose as Marvel characters; Barney hang his Iron Man suit to dry; Maggie watches Kirk and Luann as Vision and Wanda do magic tricks on tv; and Hulk-Ralph smashes Loki on the floor for being not nice. After the credits, in pure Marvel fashion, Loki is sentenced guilty to various accusations by Ravonna.
